Splitting into two teams of four (with me playing anchor at the back) we all set off in pursuit of glory for the honour of fastest team and making it around the two laps of Clapham Common in respectable times and in aid of youth homelessness.

There were some truly stunning individual times with fastest female under 45 coming in 41:44 (Lois Bond of Knight Frank), and the fastest male under 45 coming in 34:02 (Michael Wright of Watts Group for the second year running). In the over 45 category, Christian Poulter and Evelyn Mullins (Broadgate Estates) came in 38:53 and 46:46 respectively.

So in comparison the gallant APL teams showed real strength as you’ll see from the times below.

Most importantly, the fundraising effort was huge with over £100,000 being raised and the APL, being a proud sponsor of this event, managed to raise / donate £1,400 to the cause.

Congratulations to the runners and thanks to all those who donated. The APL will be recruiting runners again next year so watch this space!
